I have never lived anywhere where people fly into a panic over the weather the way they do in East Texas.
Last night we got about a tenth of an inch of freezing rain. There’s a little ice on the mailboxes and trees, which is already melting. None of it stuck to the roads- none of it- but two out of the three people where my wife works are refusing to drive to work this morning.
Just in case.
(Mel, I know you’re laughing at us. We deserve it.)
