Pits and Pitfalls

I don’t know why I was thinking about falling into a Bottomless Pit, but I did, and I really don’t think it would be all that bad.

We’d have time to formulate some sort of a plan, and I think we’d get used to it.  Just like we’re used to gravity constantly trying to pull us into the earth, and seldom give it a second thought, I think we’d become accustomed to the sound of air whooshing past us.

It certainly seems less problematic than falling into a deep pit that had a bottom to it.
