We were all introduced to Suzanne and her tea and oranges from China and Jesus the Sailor that night. We listened, never realizing the cultural hero Leonard Cohen would become. In the nineties, I watched him in concert, older, grayer and hipper than ever. I remember thinking what a beautiful way to grow old and keep the flame burning.
