Ye shall not

“And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”  ~Leviticus 19:33-34

I have a hunch they’re feeling a little vexed at the moment.

  1. The sad thing is they’ll point to this and say it’s in the Old Testament and Christians are no longer under the Law of the OT. They forget Jesus said everything in the old Law is encompassed by the Golden Rule: Love your Neighbor as Yourself. So they should feel vexed.

  2. Yes. Though there’s a catch. The 40th verse says ‘whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine’. Brothers meaning in Christ. So to a Christian bigot Muslims don’t qualify. I think that’s how they see it.
